Processing Times: Partner Visa Subclass (820/801 & 100/309)

The Partner Visa subclass 820/801 (for onshore applicants) and 100/309 (for offshore applicants) allows the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen to live in Australia. This is a pathway to permanent residency if your partner is happy to sponsor you.

820/801 and 309/100 Visa Timeline & Stages

To apply for an 820/801 visa, you must be in Australia. While you have to be outside of Australia to apply for the 309/100 visa, Results Migration can assist you through the process of obtaining a partner visa.

    • To obtain your partner visa, you will need to apply for the temporary visa first (309 or 820) and once they are granted, you will be eligible to apply for the permanent visa option (100 or 801).
