Partner Visa subclass 820/801 and 309/100

The Partner Visa subclass 820/801 (onshore) and 100/309 (offshore) allows the spouse or de facto partner of an Australian citizen, permanent resident or eligible New Zealand citizen, to live in Australia. This visa is open to both heterosexual and same sex couples and requires a sponsorship on behalf of the applicant’s spouse or partner.

New Zealand Citizen Family Relationship (Temporary) Visa subclass 461

If you are a family member of a New Zealand citizen living in Australia on a Special Category visa (subclass 444), you may be eligible to join them on a 461 visa. This visa is perfect for de facto partners, spouses and children who wish to live and work in Australia for five years.

Prospective Marriage Visa subclass 300

Individuals who are engaged to an Australian citizen or permanent resident of the opposite sex may be eligible for a prospective marriage visa provided they intend to marry their spouse within the visas nine months validity period. Although this visa is temporary in nature, it is the first step towards permanent residency. As this is a sponsorship based visa, your fiancé must be willing to sponsor you and also meet the additional sponsor eligibility criteria.
